A Piece of Nix
Never would I have ever thought I would have started a business, and nevertheless a jewelry business (in the middle of a pandemic). But before I give you a "why", let me share with you a piece of me.
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I moved around a lot because my father was in the military. I can recall being in 6 elementary schools. I am the middle child of 3 siblings, and an enneagram type 2, The Helper. I am a Lover of Love. My love language is words of affirmation. I never considered myself a girly girl, however I have always been fascinated by fashion trends and everything that involves the arts. 90's kid surrounded by Disney Channel, what can you expect?
I can remember how as a child, I was given hand-me-downs. I didn't want to wear the same item, so I would refurbish the piece of clothing that was given to me. Through out my education I was always surrounded, and participated in sports and music. It developed a sense of passion for people and what the human body can actually accomplish when it is disciplined and dedicated. My post grad years were dedicated to discover who I was and who I wanted to be. I completed a Bachelor in Arts of Forensic Psychology with the urge to understand the human mind. It was through those years, that I discovered the 'Jesus in me". The love I had for people, myself, and creation. I've always loved hard. I've always been passionate. I've always loved serving others no matter the cost. Psychology helped me understand people and to love people for who they are.
Many people find it difficult to love, and I understand why. It is hard to love when you've been hurt. But in order to be successful in "love", there is a secret. Love is God. God is Love. God loved like He had and has never been hurt; even though He experienced the uttermost rejection til suffering death! Crazy thing is, he would do it all over again. God loves us every single day and He wants us to share that True Love with others.
Love Forevermore was designed to remind people that Gods love can be reckless and defies all human logic. But how can polymer clay earrings remind us of God's love? The beauty of the earring is not a work of magic; but of dedication, passion, creativity, and inspiration. When God created us, He did it with those virtues. He was, and forever will be, passionate about us. He created man in His image, from dirt. Clay comes from the ground, from the dirt. At first it's just cold, hard and its doesn't look beautiful. You have to mix colors, bake, wait patiently, burn yourself, maybe cut yourself while mounting and designing. When I create, I feel more connected to Him for some reason. i can feel His ideas inspiring me, to give the best product, the same way He created us; because Love births from sacrifice.
He desired a selfless relationship with his creation. Before He was a creator, he was a Father. We are his children. Some people don't believe in God, some people call him the Great Spirit, Mother Nature, or don't believe in His existence at all. I really don't mind how you view Him. What I do want you to know that you are Loved by Him.
I desire that every time you decide to wear your piece of polymer clay earrings, you can feel God's love. You can feel and know how passionate He is about you. You can remember you're just as unique, beautiful, lightweight; not a burden, not a heavy hot mess, you are Loved Forevermore.
Colossians 3:12-14
You are always and dearly loved by God! So robe yourself with virtues of God, since you have been divinely chosen to be holy. Be merciful as you endeavor to understand others, and be compassionate, showing kindness toward all. Be gentle and humble, unoffendable in your patience with others. Tolerate the weaknesses of those in the family of faith, forgiving one another in the same way you have been graciously forgiven by Jesus Christ. If you find fault with someone, release this same gift of forgiveness to them. For love is supreme and must flow through each of these virtues. Love becomes the mark of true maturity.
With Love and Respect,
Nix
